How to simulate Android on computer using Andy Emulator

Andy is an application that lets you connect your mobile device and desktop, together in a virtual environment, which is ideal for gaming. The application also provides you with unlimited storage capacity, PC compatibility and freedom to play all your favorite mobile titles on your desktop. In this tutorial, we will walk through how to simulate android OS on a computer with Andy emulator. This guide includes 2 main steps

1. Download & install Andy.
2. Configure Andy Emulator.

Once you download the file, run the setup and install to the preferred location of your computer.

Minimum requirements to install Andy OS is:

Dual core AMD or Intel CPU with Virutalization support
3Gb of RAM; Andy uses less than 1Gb while running apps
At least 10Gb of free disk space
GPU with OpenGL 2.1 support
Windows 7 SP1 / Windows 8.1 / Ubuntu 14.04+ / OSX 10.8+

Once you complete the installation, run the emulator.

2. Configure Andy Emulator.

Andy syncs to your Google play account via the cloud. All your devices are synced, so your gaming progress is never lost!

To copy files between Andy and your system, follow these simple steps:
Place your files in:
Windows: %userprofile%\Andy\
OS X: ~/Documents/Andy/
Linux: ~/Andy/
Launch Andy and open ES File Explorer
Your files will be in /storage/sdcard0/Shared/Andy/
If you make changes, you can use the refresh icon in ES File Explorer to see the changes immediately.

Andy is a standalone device. Whatever you delete from Andy won’t be deleted from your mobile device, and vice versa.

If you have an Android device running Android 2.2 and up you can control Andy with your
phone. This lets you take advantage of multi-touch, gyroscope, accelerator,
location and other various sensors to control your games and apps in Andy.
All you need to do is:

1. Download the app on your phone from here
2. Make sure Andy is not blocked by your firewall
3. Connect your phone and computer to the same network
4. Run Andy then start the Remote Control on your phone.

The app should announce the running Andys on your network. But in case it doesn’t you can enter your IP address manually. You can find the correct address in Andy IP Information.
